Simply publishing a web site does NOT guarantee the there will be visitors or customers! If the web site is an extension of a physical business location, then perhaps Internet marketing is not necessary. For sites that rely on Web traffic, the site must either rank high in search engines or there must be some form of advertisement to get customers to the site.
To achieve high rankings in search engines, two components must be strengthened.
- Optimized Relevant Content
- Relevant Link Popularity
Optimized relevant content is achieved by stategically placing keywords within web pages and in file names. Web pages can and should be optimized after they are created, BUT it is more effective to know about keywords and optimization while creating the web site and adding the content. We are experts at keyword identification and search engine optimization.
Relevant link popularity is strengthened by increasing the number of sites that link to your domain where there are same or similar keywords and file names. We don't recommend link farms. They can do more harm than good. Strategic alliances with suppliers and other online businesses can sometimes be a source of incoming links. Online directories that contain similar content may also be a source of link popularity. If there are no free sources for incoming links, paid advertising is another option. In the best interest of our clients, we always explore free and inexpensive methods first and then graduate to paid advertisments only as needed and as the budget permits.
